ABOUT AMY ROLAND>>

Amy RolandThe road to motherhood was a turbulent one for Amy Roland. After suffering six uniquely different miscarriages she and her husband William opted for in vitro fertilization. Initially the procedure was viewed a success until at nine weeks one of Amy’s tubes burst. An ectopic pregnancy had occurred in one of her tubes simultaneously with her normal pregnancy. The internal bleeding was so severe it demanded emergency surgery. Six hours later both mother and the fetus inside her womb had survived the near fatal event. 31 weeks later Amy gave birth by c-section to a beautiful baby girl.

Amy and husband William’s second child, a wonderful and handsome little boy, was born without incident. He was conceived “the old fashioned way” inspired by a nice bottle of wine on a cozy Saturday night!

Amy has been through triumphs and tragedies with her own pregnancies. From living this experience she realized that she wanted to make a special place for women and couples who are trying to conceive. She wanted to create a place where people would be able to connect with others experiencing the same feelings and emotional experiences as themselves, a place for those who want to reach highly skilled professionals from a variety of fields, a home for anyone with baby on the brain. That place is ProjectBaby.com.

Amy works as a TV producer in San Diego California. She received her BA in Theatre from UCSD, and has an M.F.A in Producing from The American Film Institute. Amy is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
